Delgado Guitars

La Tradición

La Tradición is the result of the Delgado family business that survived by following the model of making friends, not customers. As a Delgado Guitars brand, it serves to bring the power of music to more students and schools across the United States with the same passion, history, and integrity of Delgado Guitars itself.

In 2006, Manuel began La Tradición with the goal of providing quality, handmade musical instruments at an affordable price. With over 90 years of history, he created a brand that is like no other.

From the authentic instruments and innovative accessories, to his top notch services and “customer first” philosophy, La Tradición has made a name in the world of Mariachi and Latin instruments. Manuel’s approach is simple – do everything with our customer in mind. He knows that musicians want affordable quality and an instrument that will not just have amazing tone, but is built with integrity. Manuel Delgado makes it a point to listen to students, teachers, administrators and our musical public to make sure that we know what you love, what you don’t like and what you wish you had. It is this that drives the products and accessories as well as the services he offers.

Steven Delopoulos

I have played with lots of different guitars and grew up in a family of Greek musicians. The one thing I noticed immediately with Delgado guitars is that It had an authentic spirit. I got excited again for the first time in years to hold and play a guitar. The love put into the instruments built gives me the feeling that it has a heartbeat of It’s own. I look forward to writing my songs through it.

I decided to return to the guitar at age 56 after recovering from a heart transplant. I wanted a single instrument that would last a life time. What I received from Manuel was a work of art that has a beautiful voice and a soul as well.
